QR code(Quick Response code) is used to encrypt information such as text, images and URLs that can be decoded by a QR scanner application on smartphones that uses a camera.
The issue is, it’s not always clear how to scan one. If you’re an Android user, here’s the details on how to successfully scan a QR code.
How To Scan a QR Code
The easiest way to scan a QR code is using google lens via google assistant. you can access the google assistant by long pressing the home button.
This Depends solely on which version of Google Assistant you have, you might have the Lens button right there as soon as Assistant pops up. However, you need to tap on it to stop it from listening for a voice command . Just tap on the colored dots to stop it from listening to commands.
Once google assistant stops listening, new options will be provided: Lens to the left of the mic, keyboard to the right. Tap on the “Lens” button on the left of the mic.
If it is your first time using google Lens, you’ll need to activate it. Just follow the prompts and then grant it camera access. On the first run, it’ll give you a list of things you can do with Google Lens.
Just swipe that list away and move the QR code into the camera’s view. Within seconds, it will show you what the QR code is—just tap on it to execute.
NOTE: If you can’t find the google lens option in the google assistant, you can download the Google lens app.
